Sept. basic steel imports decreased by 9% Central America
Abstract According to US Steel Association reported that the country's preliminary Census Bureau data show that in September 2015 the United States on steel imports totaled 2,773,000 net tons, of which 2.168 million net tons of finished steel imports, a decline of 9.4% and 12.5%, respectively.
According to US Steel Association reported that the country's preliminary Census Bureau data show that in September 2015 the United States on steel imports totaled 2,773,000 net tons, of which 2.168 million net tons of finished steel imports, a decline of 9.4% and 12.5%, respectively.
So far this year, total imports of steel and finished steel imports were 30.841 million net tons and 25,122,000 net tons, down 5% and increased by 3%, respectively. It is estimated that in September of finished steel import market share accounted for 25%.
September mainly imports of finished steel products increased significantly over the ring, wherein the shear length plate chain increased 36%, tin plate growth of 39%.
In the first nine months, imports increased significantly YoY products include steel (48%), pipelines (34% increase), standard pipe (up 23%), tin plate (up 20%), hot galvanized plate (an increase of 12%), drawing (11% increase). (Steel House)
