Congress also requested the Ministry of Economic Affairs to submit a detailed report no later than 15 days, namely the steel industry subsidies to deal with other countries and measures to ensure the competitiveness of the domestic steel industry.

Congress noted that the Mexican government should strengthen the implementation of the budget and steel production and distribution chain to adjust policies, illegal imports from other countries, because of the price and the actual match has seriously disrupted the local market. Mexico's largest flat steel producers also believes that imports weakening of the local steel production. Quarter of this year, the Mexican steel output down 6.6 percent year on year, while imports increased 15.2%.
