 Method of indication of grade of tool steel

Tool steel is divided into three kinds: carbon tool steel, alloy tool steel and high speed tool steel.
- carbon tool steel is represented by the symbol of standard chemical elements, the specified symbols and the Arabia digital. The Arabia figures show the average carbon content (by a few thousandth).
A, common manganese content carbon tool steel, in the tool steel symbol "T" after the Arabia number.
For example, carbon tool steel with an average carbon content of 0.80% is expressed as "T 8".
B, a high manganese carbon tool steel, is added to the symbol of the manganese element after the tool steel symbol "T" and the Arabia number. For example, "T8Mn".
C, high quality carbon tool steel, at the end of the brand plus "A". For example, "T8MnA".
- alloy tool steel and high speed tool steel
The method of indicating the grade of alloy tool steel and high speed tool steel is the same as that of the alloy structural steel.
Alloy element symbols which adopts standard and Arabia digital representation, but generally does not indicate the average carbon content, for example: the average carbon content of 1.60%, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium content were 11.75%, 0.50%, alloy tool steel 0.22%, the grade is expressed as "Cr12MoV"; the average carbon content is 0.85%. The tungsten, molybdenum, chromium, vanadium content were 6%, 5%, high speed tool steel 4% and 2%, the grade is expressed as "W6Mo5Cr4V 2".
If the average carbon content is less than 1%, a Arabia number can be used to indicate carbon content (by a few thousandths). For example, the average carbon content is 0.80%, the manganese content is 0.95%, the silicon content is 0.45% alloy tool steel, its brand name is "8MnSi". Low chromium (average chromium content less than 1%) alloy tool steel, in the amount of chromium (with a few thousandths) before adding the number "0". For example, the average chromium content of 0.60% alloy tool steel, the brand name is "Cr 06".
The method of indicating the number of the plastic mould steel
The plastic mould steel grades are not only in the head plus the symbol "SM", but the other means are the same as the quality carbon structure steel and the alloy tool steel grade. Indication method of bearing steel
Bearing steel is divided into four categories: high carbon chromium bearing steel, carburized bearing steel, high carbon chromium stainless bearing steel and high temperature bearing steel.

- carburized bearing steel, the brand name of the alloy structural steel is expressed, and the mark "G" is added to the head of the brand. For example, "G20 CrNiMo". High quality carburized bearing steel with "A" at the end of the brand. For example, "G20CrNiMoA".
- high carbon chromium bearing steel and high temperature bearing steel, the brand name of stainless steel and heat-resistant steel, no sign "G" on the head of the brand. For example, high carbon chromium stainless bearing steel "9Cr 18" and high temperature bearing steel "10Cr14Mo".
